Het Miyajima Seaside Hotel ligt op slechts 5 minuten rijden met de gratis pendeldienst van de veerhaven van Miyajima. De accommodatie biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan. Amazing experience in a traditional style with a modern comfort. The hotel is located in a quiet place ~20 mins walk from the ferry port. It may sound far but the hotel provides the shuttle bus as often as you need. We were prepared for the ryokan rules about the shoes, so it wasn’t a surprise for us. The traditional room is very beautiful, clean, looks better in real life than on the pictures. Nice view from the window, I even saw an eagle on the tree. The hotel staff is extremely polite and helpful. Usually the staff set up the bed after the dinner but they set it up for me when I asked for a day nap. The dinner and breakfast servings is extraordinarily. Nice choice of exclusive souvenirs, especially loved the Momiji manju cookies, the ones from the hotel are MUCH better than the ones from the shopping street. In general, I highly recommend to stay here at least for 1-2 night for better exploration of Miyajima without rush.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Incredible staff, they were very helpful! The rooms are big, and you even get a Japanese style greeting.

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Everything. The service was excellent, the food was great and the location is close to everything we wanted to see.

Kinsuikan ligt in Miyajima, op 2,6 km van Tsutsumigaura Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een restaurant. We had an amazing experience here. We felt so pampered and welcomed. Dinner was great, everyone was so nice and help whenever was needed. Highly recommended.

Oyado Tsukiusagi is gelegen op 13 minuten lopen van Momijidani Park en 600 meter van The great Torii, en is voorzien van kamers in Miyajima. Everything was exceptional. We loved the Oyado Tsukiusagi! It had the most comfortable futon beds we experienced through our 5 weeks of traveling through Japan, a beautiful and clean room, and the lady at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. We really love Miyajima so we were very happy that we could stay at the island through the night.

Mizuhasou ligt voor het Miyajima Aquarium en op 5 minuten lopen van de uitgang van het Itsukushima-heiligdom. Het biedt accommodatie met een moderne maar traditionele inrichting. All the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was very tasty . I recommend it all.

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Was een fijne avond. Met heel lekker eten.

Yamaichi Bekkan bevindt zich op 8 minuten lopen van The great Torii en 1,1 km van Momijidani Park, en biedt kamers in Miyajima. Family-owned and operated 4-room ryokan on top of a lunchtime restaurant. Stay included amazing kaiseki dinner of local seasonal ingredients and delicious japanese breakfast (we did not try the continental one). Japanese-style room was of decent size for Japan. Family was very welcoming and helpful. Surroundings and weather turned this great stay into a magical one.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. Beautiful property, excellent staff AND amazing dinner. Just incredible.
