Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. If I could give 100 stars to this ryokan, I would do it! It was absolutely stunning experience in Nagano, the whole family and staff are extremely friendly, kind and polite. They receive lots of international travelers and they understand tourists needs. You MUST book dinners and breakfasts with them! It was amazing experience! On a practical note: rooms were authentic, hot water, heater were reliable. Location is superb, close to the temple and delicious snacks. This place is ideal for alternative travelers interested in local tradition and with the appreciation for culture and history: I wish the owners only the best customers!

Το Mitsubikiya, που προσφέρει κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, βεράντα και δωρεάν WiFi, είναι σε Matsumoto και απέχει 800μ από Σταθμός Matsumoto και 3,9 χλμ από Μουσείο Ιαπωνίας Ukiyo-e. this is a fantastic small Japanese style inn that has great shared showers area and a restaurant that serves yummy breakfast and dinner if you wish. we stayed in a large tatami style family room that had private sink and toilet, and found the shared shower and bath area very clean and great hot water pressure. the inn is basically a old private home that has been turned into a boutique inn. the location is fantastic, less than 10 minutes on foot to train station, museums, castle, and all the picturesque shopping streets. great restaurant on premise served delicious and reasonably priced set menu. this is a delightful property!

We loved everything about our stay at Yadoya Shiroganeya. Maki is an excellent host and her mother is an amazing cook! The local food of Nagano was delicious and hand picked by Maki herself. We had fun making friends with the resident pets Fukumaru and Kenta. We were even lucky enough to see snow during our stay, but we were cozy and warm inside at all times. There are so many lovely touches to this property that made it one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed. We hope to visit again!

Truly one of the highlights of our time in Japan. The building, rooms, and onsen are incredible and the hospitality can't be beat. We were caught in a rainstorm before our scheduled pickup and the owners so kindly dried our sopping wet clothes and shoes. After that, we warmed up in the onsen which left our skin feeling so smooth and headed to a delicious and expansive dinner. We finished the night falling asleep to the roaring sound of the waterfall due to the heavy rains. We'll definitely be back.

Love the location!! Love the traditional Japanese bedroom. The room is so nice, clean, and so cozy. The staff are great and super nice and courteous and very attentive. The breakfast was excellent.

Το Hotel Yamabuki βρίσκεται σε Komagane, σε απόσταση 26 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Πάρκο Takato Joshi και παρέχει καταλύματα με κήπο, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης και γήπεδο τένις. Hot Spring was great with clean hot bath, and the staff welcomed us kindly even we arrived close to 9 pm.

Το Berg Marukaneya βρίσκεται στο Nozawa Onsen, 2χλμ. από τη λίμνη Hokuryuko. Το ryokan απέχει 3 λεπτά με τα πόδια από το πλησιέστερο χιονοδρομικό κέντρο και διαθέτει σημείο πώλησης καρτών σκι. Amazing time staying at this lovely hotel. They couldn’t have been more accommodating with changes or kinder when we visited.
