Close to Togakushi Shrine, 宿屋白金家 yadoya-shiroganeya 1日1組限定2名から8名様まで 全館貸切り 伝統的建造物の旅籠宿 Traditional culture experience is set in Nagano and has a hot spring bath and garden. The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 20 km from Zenkoji Temple. The ryokan also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This was by far the best part of our stay in Japan. Maki was the most wonderful host and went out of her way to show us around the surrounding area with its beautiful views and shrines. There was also a private Onsen and the rooms were stunning! But the food was the highlight. Home cooked local Japanese cuisine served by the most wonderful hosts. If you get a chance to stay here, I’d highly recommend it.

The ryokan will provide guests with air-conditioned units offering a wardrobe, a kettle, a fridge, a safety deposit box, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a bidet. The units are equipped with heating facilities. The place had a beautiful traditional Japanese 70's interior with striking midcentury influences. All of the staff were extremely friendly and warm, and the outdoor onsen was incredible. The shower products were also wonderful and great on the skin and hair, and the meals served were so delicious. All in all an unforgettable experience. Just outside was a bus stop that took you to the ropeway leading up to the Chuo Alps. I would come here again!

Offering quiet street views, Residence Yasushi is an accommodation situated in Nozawa Onsen, 22 km from Ryuoo Ski Park and 33 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and free shuttle service. The accommodation features a hot spring bath, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms. The staff at Yasushi are excellent - friendly, polite, and always helpful - they are international, and speak perfect English. Breakfast is great - and there's a cosy afternoon tea included. Beds are very comfortable, shower is strong, rooms a good size with good insulation from neighbours, and the style very well judged - making it pleasant to spend time in the room. A hotel shuttle bus is a nice bonus - making it easy to get to the slopes in the mornings. Thanks guys for a great holiday!

Takimi Onsen Inn that only accepts one group per day features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 9.1 km of Otsumago and 9.3 km of Kotoku-ji Temple. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan has facilities for disabled guests. The drive up to the location was gorgeous, the host picked me up from Tsumago and after my stay dropped me off to the Nagiso train station. While the host speaks limited english, he is a wonderful conversationalist and a joy to talk to. The accommodation itself is very spacious, the interior design beautiful, and the onsen baths were at really comfortable temperature for me. While I was unable to eat all of the food they served (I have a small stomach, not their fault), I really wish i could have, because I think it was one of the best meals I've ever had. I will definitely come back some day.
