The location was great for what I needed, as it was really near to the Hells of Beppu which I wanted to visit. The tatami room was a great size, and the shared bathroom was very clean. The staff were lovely and the private onsen was a great bonus!!

Food is excellent on both meals. We highly recommend this beautiful ryokan for those who are looking for special place in their itinerary.

The dinner and breakfast both exceeded our expectations as did all staff we encountered. Appreciated the shuttle back to the station after we checked out.

Wonderful onsen ryokan in the outskirts of Yufuin, with incredibly friendly staff and a beautiful view of Mt Yufu. The food is soooo good! We stayed for two night and had two different dinner courses, both of which were lovely. The outdoor bath in the room Botan was a highlight as well — so lovely to relax in the bath with a view of the valley and mountains.

Beautiful small apartment with private hot spring fed bath and access to the main baths outside of public opening hours. A truly peaceful experience with friendly staff in a tranquil setting.
