Would travel here for the food alone, what a feast! (tip: do a very light lunch prior). These hard working people and their outstanding building and surroundings really need more international visits. So, if you’re in the market for a Adachi museum visit. Please consider this ryokan as your stay. I would recommend a 2 night stay as you can explore the temple grounds and unwind. In other words; It’s been absolutely perfect. どうもありがとう。

Showcase Hotel KASANE bevindt zich in Gotsu, op 13 km van Gotsu City General Citizen Center Milky Way Hall, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Everything was so chic and modern in a traditional area. It’s this new wave of Japanese accommodation that is very impressive. It’s a little pricey, but absolutely worth every cent in my opinion.

Having been to Izumo before and knowing it would not disappoint, I decided to take my family for another vacation in January. We stayed at Nipponia Izumo - Hirata Cotton Road for three nights. It is a former traditional sake brewery house converted into a kominka style hotel. Situated on a quiet historical sake and soy sauce business street, the hotel not only provided a unique home sweet home service but also amazing fine dining experience. Their in-house chef made each meal using local products to create feasts that delighted the senses. I highly recommend this hidden gem of an accommodation if you do visit Izumo.

This was our fourth trip to Japan and we've stayed in many ryokans. This is one of our favorites. The space we stayed at was huge. It was a two-story stand alone building. The seats looked out onto the courtyard with a pond and a lot of trees, which was very peaceful. I'm usually not the type to stay in my hotel/ryokan all day, but this place tempted me to do so due to the serenity of the courtyard. There were two private onsen that were easy to access due to the small number of guests that stay here. The food was fabulous. While walking around one morning I found a hiking trail that led up to castle ruins. The next morning I hiked up to the ruins and down the other side and came out near the Moss Land.

Hoshi Ryokan is gelegen op 1,2 km van heiligdom Taikodani Inari en 1,9 km van Tsuwano Joushi, en biedt kamers met airconditioning en een gedeelde badkamer in Tsuwano. Enorme gastvrijheid van de families, de grote traditionele kamer en het heerlijke diner en ontbijt. Hotel ligt pal naast het stationnetje.

Saginoyusou is gelegen op 24 km van Shinji-meer en 27 km van Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, en biedt kamers in Yasugi. My first 10 rating. Our room was fantastic, with a large sitting area, separate sleeping area with comfortable beds and private outdoor onsen. Staff were uniformly friendly, helpful and polite. Our meals were excellent and very filling. Each large window in our room looked out on different areas of an impeccably designed garden. We are already planning our next visit.

Onsen Guest House Aobato no Su biedt accommodatie met overal gratis WiFi in Matsue, op een steenworp afstand van Tamatsukuri Onsen. Er is gratis privéparkeergelegenheid bij de accommodatie. The breakfast was really good and the employees were kind. The small onsen was also geat-- it was clean. If you stay for more that 3 days you can get a free performance of a traditional Shimane instrument. The location is about 20 minutes away from Tamatsukuri onsen station but it's near a cafe and other restaurants.
