Guests can choose to stay in rooms with Japanese futon bedding on tatami (woven-straw) floors or in rooms with Western beds on wooden floors. A fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags are included in each room. All rooms come with an en suite bathroom with a toilet and shower, while some rooms have a bathtub. The traditionnal room is amazing, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the peacefullness of the rooms. The bath was pretty relaxing and the staff is so kind and helpful. Its my second time at edo sakura and I still love it very much.

The units are equipped with heating facilities. Great location next to a small park where locals were having their hanami blossom parties. Comfy futons . Excellent support from staff and little touches like snacks, tea, toothbrush etc in the rooms.

The air-conditioned rooms at Ryokan Annex Katsutaro feature Japanese futon bedding, and each has a TV and fridge. The attached bathroom includes a bathtub. Everything was great! This was our third time staying in annex katsutaro and we always love to stay here when we come to tokyo. I first booked a room for one for two weeks but my mother decided to come to tokyo for the last week and the ryokan was helpful in changing the room for the last week. I also had online orders that they kindly put in my room. Always a great experience staying here, very clean and good service, thank you again!

Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu is situated a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Subway Station, near Nakamise-dori Street and Senso-ji Temple. Asakusa Subway Station provides direct access to Ueno, Shibuya and Ginza areas, and also to the Narita and Haneda international airports. The staff was welcoming and eager to help. We shipped our luggages a day after our arrival and they even brought the heavy bags to our room in our absence. The ryokan is very well located, near the temple and the small shops. It gets very quiet at night even though it is a very busy area during the day. The room is small but well put together. Minimal decoration, traditional with tatami and comfortable futons. We were also provided with lovely snacks and tea as a welcoming package. The onsen is very intimate and private, with a view of either the temple nearby or the Skytree. We would definitely come back to this lovely ryokan when we will return to Japan!

Situated 200 metres from Choen-ji Temple, 寅ホテル 御徒町 TORA HOTEL Okachimachi in Tokyo features rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. It is set 300 metres from Tokaku-ji Temple and offers a lift. The ryokan has family rooms. Size is good for price, cute design with facilities such as washing machine, microwave, electric kettle, rice cooker and stove. Location is nearly perfect, convenience store nearby and easily accessible to Asakusa and Akihabara; both one station away via Tsukuba express. Can also easily access Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Ginza and other popular tourist spots. Shibuya isn’t too far out either. Staff is responsive, showed clear instructions and rules. Would recommend and return to this spot again if another opportunity arises.

We had a wonderful stay! The host is incredibly kind and thoughtful, always ready to help with useful tips and recommendations. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a generous selection of snacks, and at the end of our stay we received a sweet farewell gift. The place is very comfortable, located in a pleasant and quiet neighborhood, and it’s especially great for families with children. We highly recommend staying here — it was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan!
