I really loved the ajinkan meditation and how the monk was kind and cheerful and pleasant. It was such a nice experience to learn something new and to have such a pleasant person that you can ask about meditation. It was so nice! The dinner was really fantastic and I was most pleasantly surprised how warm the room was because it was cold season.

I appreciated that they provided explanations afterwards so that we could fully enjoyed it.

The owner is just fantastic! Great personality, we loved all our interactions. At the end, he drove us to Kogumotori-oji for our hike. The mattress is comfortable and the breakfast is good. He prepared lunch boxes for us on request. The minshuku has robes for bathing in the hot springs and I loved how welcoming the atmosphere was. I want to return someday.

Talking with the monks was very interesting; about the temple, Buddhism, and their personal experiences. The dinner and breakfast were also great.
