The guesthouse is located a little further from the center of Valbone and has a charming rustic character. We enjoyed beautiful views on the mountains. The hosts were very kind and helpful and prepared an incredibly good breakfast! Bonus: they also have a cat which has just had kittens.

A good location for a relaxing getaway in Tropojë, Borbardha the 7 xhuxhat is an apartment surrounded by views of the mountain.

This place is simply amazing. Held by Albanian Christian family (only son speaks English but all family is so friendly and lovely that you can understand each other wothout words). The house stands on a river cliff directly facing the mountains, so breakfast and dinner always come with a beautiful view. All the food (traditional Albanian cuisine) is prepared by the hosts themselves, and it’s incredibly delicious. I recommend choosing a room with a balcony so you can enjoy the stunning view until evening. Just past the bridge, downstream, there are wild beaches where you can find a peaceful spot for swimming. We arrived here by car from Tirana Airport. The entire road was paved and especially scenic—we took the eastern route to Fierza, which is longer and goes through the mountains, but it’s very beautiful. For the return trip, we chose the ferry from the Fierza terminal to Koman (there are several ferries daily and local tour boats as well). A fantastic journey and even more fantastic and super friendly and big heart hosts. I 100% recommend this place to everybody who wants to see real Albania beauty!

We absolutely loved our stay at Monark Villas. Ardid and Enxhi went above and beyond in making sure that we had everything that we needed. They were there to check us in and out I in person, they were very helpful with giving us information about the local area, they are also very friendly and very helpful, they even lent us a vacuum to use for our hire car! The villas are absolutely stunning, brand new and well equipped. We cooked lots of meals and the kitchen was well equipped for this. The villa is in a perfect location to hike to the blue eye, it is so close to the car park for this, there are also some nice restaurants down by the blue eye. We used the villa as a base to then hike in Theth which is only a 15 minute drive up the road. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we would recommend you to anyone!

The sauna is no joke, fits four people sitting down and is in excellent condition. PERFECT after a day of hiking or in the morning after a cold plunge in the local river stream. The service from reception was amazing and timely, they responded to our needs quickly every time.
