The property is a gem and a bit quirky, which suited us well. The rooftop bar was a nice surprise but the in house elevator was the icing on the cake. The rooms were furnished luxuriously. Our family had a wonderful time by the pool and garden

Nice and attentive host. He was very accommodating and flexible for our needs which made our stay so much more enjoyable. The rooms were clean, air-conditioning worked, and the shower was hot. The apartment was a decent size and the location was great. It's in a quiet street less than 5mins walk to the beach and about 10mins to the station.

Delicious homemade food made by the owner, what she did in the kitchen was magic, the best food in India :) Very nice family, I have a lot of wonderful experiences, very helpful and kind. It is possible to rent a boat for sunrise and sunset (I recommend sunrise 😍), there is an option to rent bikes, good internet, clean, definitely recommended!!

Our stay at this guesthouse on Munroe Island was absolutely perfect. The location is stunning — surrounded by calm backwaters, palm trees, and the sounds of nature. It’s the ideal place to relax and disconnect from the busy world of India. Shiva and his family were extremely friendly and caring, always ready to help with a warm smile. They treated us like family and made sure we had everything we needed. They also arranged a wonderful kayak trip through the narrow canals — a magical experience full of birds and village life. This was one of the best activities during our trip. The room was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The home-cooked Kerala food was amazing — especially the biryani and the breakfast. If you’re looking for a quiet, authentic backwater stay with very friendly hosts and real Kerala hospitality, this is the perfect choice. Excellent value for money — we can’t recommend it enough!
