The property was very clean and the owner and staff very welcoming. The breakfast was good and the pool a plus (it even had a Jacuzzi at one end and there was a sauna and steam room though we did not use it. The property is expanding and is work in progress but that did not detract from our stay at all.

This place was an absolute experience! The views were seriously breathtaking and most of all if you are looking to relax, connect with nature and have the best time disconnecting this is the ideal place. The food served was really delicious as well. Would recommend this 100% to anyone travelling solo or with a family.

Very nice accommodation with beautiful garden. 10 min drive from Dambulla. Well equipped kitchen, nice beds and great host. The bedroom has airconditioning. There was enough space to park our Tuktuk.

The property is really beautiful and well kept by the host. It is very close to the cave temple and also only a short ride away from Sigiriya. The room and bathroom are very clean and provide good comfort.

We stayed at Gaia Lake Bungalows for one week and had an excellent time. You can rent the whole villa and enjoy a really unique private experience in this central region of Sri Lanka. The villa is located directly at the beautiful Kandalama Lake (with a stunning view on the lake) and is certainly one of the best locations you can choose for exploration of the cultural triangle between Polonaruwa, Anuradhapura, Kandy and Dambulla, including Sigiriya. Sarath, the private cook will introduce you to the various flavours of traditional Sri Lankan food and Darshi the manager kindly supports any kind of arrangements you may need. We booked the entire villa for only 3 persons but there is plenty of room for 6 persons or even more. Moreover a large swimming pool is available for exercise or relaxation after excursions. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The view of the Lion Rock is fantastic! The cabin was perfect for us:) Peter called me when we arrived and explained all ins and outs of the area and gave us some great advice. He was happy to answer any of our questions any time of the day. The cabin with its garden are very private and amazing for some wildlife spotting. Our kids loved it. There is also a wood-fired pizza oven in the garden. Sumith put the fire on for us and Raja swiftly organised and delivered yeast and flour from the local bakery for our pizza baking experience:) We all had a lot of fun kneading the dough and baking pizza in a real outdoor pizza oven! It was delicious:). We used bicycles provided free of charge, washing machine and there is a drinking water dispenser in the cabin, so no need to buy bottled water:) We loved seeing wild chickens coming to the garden and peacocks were always a good entertainment for the kids;) Sumith brought us, freshly picked from the garden, jackfruit to try;)

The property is nestled in nature. Madhu is very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious! The host served authentic Sri Lankan breakfast which was the best one we had in the entire trip. Highly recommend this place!
