I stayed here for two nights and had a truly pleasant and peaceful experience 😊. The property is clean 🧼, and the room was spacious and comfortable 🛏️. I was especially impressed by the beautifully designed bathroom 🚿✨. The location is also very convenient—just a short walk from Matara Railway Station 🚉. What truly made the stay exceptional was the hospitality of the hosts 🤗. The aunty and uncle who live next door are incredibly kind and always ready to help with a warm smile 🧓👵❤️. Their genuine care made me feel right at home 🏠. If you're visiting Sri Lanka 🇱🇰, especially the Matara area, I highly recommend staying here 🌟. Thank you for a wonderful experience! 🙏 धन्यवाद

Really lovely new guesthouse, ran by a very helpful friendly family. Only a few minutes walk from nice resturants, bars and the ocean and the room was very clean. Really appreciated the strong air con and hot powerful shower! Comfy bed, modern facilities and set back from the road a little so it was nice and quiet at night.We could easily walk to the popular surf point nearby too. One of the nicest places I've stayed in sri lanka!

Amazing very kindly people that run this place, greeted with fruits & drinks + genuine conversation. Was also just given dinner (Rice + chicken) for nothing, very tasty & felt nice to not get ripped off in these places. For what I paid, a double bed room + AC & balcony view is definitely worth it. Location very close to train station also which helped me out. The man also owns a tuktuk:)

Wonderful Stay at SithRu Villa – Highly Recommended! We originally planned to stay just 2 nights at SithRu Villa in Matara, but we ended up extending my stay to 4 nights because the experience was so great! A special thank you to Mr. Mangala, the manager, who made my stay truly enjoyable. He was incredibly helpful and kind – he arranged a van with a very nice and reliable driver so I could explore Matara and the surrounding areas comfortably. It made a big difference in my trip. Mangala also helped me order delicious breakfasts and dinners, which I really appreciated. The food was tasty and freshly prepared, and the service was always warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing – a perfect escape from the busy city life as I live in sjngapore with my family . If you’re visiting Matara, I highly recommend staying at SithRu Villa. The hospitality and service, especially from Mr. Mangala, made this one of the best parts of my trip. I’ll definitely return again!

An Authentic Stay with a Heartfelt Purpose I recently stayed at Sheru Guest in Matara, and it was truly a memorable experience. Owned by a warm, welcoming Catholic family, Sheru Guest supports the local community by contributing a portion of its earnings to aid underprivileged families in the area. It was wonderful to know that my stay was part of something meaningful, helping fund education, healthcare, and essentials for those in need. The location is ideal for exploring southern Sri Lanka, with Polhena Beach just a short distance away, perfect for snorkeling and enjoying the calm waters. Mirissa is also close by, offering exciting whale-watching tours. The guesthouse itself is peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. While they don’t serve meals, great local dining options are just a short walk away, making it easy to explore Sri Lankan cuisine. Overall, Sheru Guest provided me with a genuine cultural experience and a sense of home. It’s perfect for travelers who want an affordable, impactful, and authentic stay in Sri Lanka. I loved this place! So well located in Hiriketiya. Some great cafes and restaurants around, close to the beach too. The house has a great vibe, everyone was so friendly and the AC/Hot water were great!

Staying with Lala, Salier and their son Dulaj (sorry the names are probably spelt incorrectly) has been the most wonderful and beautiful experience of my five weeks in Sri Lanka. If you want to experience the true kindness and nature of the people here I can only recommend to stay with the family for a few days. They have been so kind and accommodating and just so lovely. Lala even showed me how to prepare Daal, as it’s my favourite dish in Sri Lanka. I hardly ever write reviews but I really do mean it. I’m so happy to have stayed with them!

    The villa and pool is gorgeous, with stunning views of the ocean. The beds, rooms and kitchen were well stocked with good bedding and kitchen supplies. The caretaker was very helpful with meeting us and showing us where everything was and how to use all the facilities. The restaurants are not close by, but it is a very quick drive or a 15min walk away and not as busy as the surfer town of Hiriketiya.

    The location was clean and beautiful. situated in a calm location, closed to Mirissa and Polhena beaches and not far from Matara town and it is walking distance to the Kamburugamuwa Train Station. The villa had two bedrooms, and both were Airconditioned, the kitchen is fully equipped. The Host is a very friendly and kind person. he went above and beyond for attend our needs.

    We had an amazing stay in this beautiful apartment! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner. The location is great and close to everything. The hosts were amazing and even kindly dropped us at the bus stop and helped us with our onward journey. We would definitely stay again!
