I spent a week travelling through France and Belgium through various cities, and this accommodation was the highlight of my holiday in terms of character and a good night's sleep. It's little details, like looking out of the porthole window in the main bedroom, and discovering a tiny miniature boat figure (purely for decorative purposes), or the sailor knot examples with QR codes next to each one so you could find out more about them. I loved having access to all the speciality teas, a teapot (it is SO annoying in many hotels to have small cups which you constantly have to refill), and the kettle was even filled for me on arrival ready to be used. The double bed mattress was comfortable and I was grateful for the extra quilt option when I went to sleep. A good location (very quiet) within walking distance of lots to see and enjoy in Ghent. I was able to visit several museums easily without needing to get a bus.

We wilden graag naar het centrum dus ze wees ons de weg naar de beste bushalte door voor ons uit te rijden met de auto. De volgende ochtend kregen we zelfs een ontbijtje!! Al met al een heerlijk verblijf gehad, de kamer en badkamer was mooi schoon en het bed was heerlijk.

The location was quiet and had a good outlook from the living room. It was a modest walk into the center of Ghent but the apartment was also close to a tram stop if you wanted to cave time. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Parking might be an issue, there is limited parking nearby but there is some free parking near the watersport lake and if you park there I recommend taking a short cut through the car park of the large supermarket there. That is about 10 minutes walk from the apartment. It is an excellent supermarket as well.

Our family of 6 stayed four days in the apartment for the Christmas Holiday and it was PERFECT for us. The apartment was so clean, accommodated all of us with enough bedding, towels and kitchen was well stocked. We made breakfast each morning. We loved having an expresso to wake up to. There is a market not too far to buy goods. Oli, the host, communicated from the day I booked which was early knowing it was the holiday. He addressed any questions. We enjoyed the short walk from the train station to make small train trips to other Belgium cities. However our favorite visit was going into the town of Gent and enjoying the Christmas Market and city festivities. We would definitely return and stay here again in the future.
