Our Place Up North is in a great location- easy access to Huntsville and the local shops, cafes, restaurants etc- but far enough out to feel like you have some space and peace. There is a swimming lake just across the road (a few mins walk through Tally Ho) which we enjoyed one sunny morning. The apartment is incredibly well stocked and everything is clearly labelled - the lovely host Debbie has truly thought of everything. There are plenty of things to entertain you on those chillier nights- games and dvds etc, and a lovely private outdoor area with a campfire if you fancy stargazing. There was even a welcome pack with snacks and nibbles to enjoy when we arrived, which was a real treat. We could have easily stayed much, much longer. Thank you Debbie!

The cottage was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. My family especially loved spending time on the deck and enjoying the beautiful lake views. It truly felt like a home away from home. We’re already talking about coming back. Highly recommended!

Amenities were described accurately and our group enjoyed the sauna and hot tub on a cool Nov evening! Lots of detailed instructions for everything and the host was awesome at responding quickly as was the cleaner who had to come back to let us in as our code wasn’t working. All in all a very pleasant stay, just wish we could have stayed longer. Next time will book a minimum of 2 nights and would definitely recommend.
