You could already tell that the owner paid a lot of attention to details and allowing the guests to feel very welcomed. I highly highly recommend this place for its terrace. It is extremely rare to have such a space in the heart of Basel. We felt so spoiled!! After a long conference day, it is fantastic to settle down in the evening on the terrace. The drink options and kitchen were also fully stocked. We would definitely come back!

What a wonderful surprise to have discovered B&B Stirnimann for our two night stay while touring Switzerland. The area is peaceful and lovely and the stay was everything we could ever want and more. Our hosts offered us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The accommodations were not just clean but absolutely spotless and our room was cozy, spacious and very comfortable. We were allowed to use the full kitchen and living room and porch in addition to our room and that was such a treat for us on our long trip. The best part you ask? The best part was Hedi our host who we instantly adored. She is a gracious, funny, kind and friendly force of nature who made sure we were comfortable, offered touring and local information and provided us with a full delicious breakfast. There are some people and places that enhance a trip in special ways that you know you will never forget. Staying at B&B Stirnimann and meeting Hedi will hold a special place in our memory and we hope to return someday.
