This is the best place we have been in Sri Lanka. In terms of value for money, service and amenities. Which we noticed is that they are attention to details in every aspect. We really felt like home . We had dinner at Appleton, where I was super surprised with their reasonable price. Which’s the half of price we spent for lunch in Nuwaraeliya city center. Few things you should know when you travel Nuwara eliya. If you travel by your own vehicle there is no better place than this. This located between Nanuoya railway station and Nuwarael iya town. From the Appleton Villa to Nuwareliya town is exactly 5.9 Km which is 15 min to city center. What make you feel like as far is when the driver doesn’t know the road or else some Tuk Tuk driver want to charge extra that is why. Always take advise from the staff then you will be saved. Nuwara eliya itself is not a place to stay more than 2 days specially raining time. Overall we are quite happy with star class services.

We had very bad luck entering Nuwara Eliya but we were extremely lucky that we booked in Woods Hut! Owned by a lovely family and they made our stay unforgettable and we wish we could stay longer! An amazing fresh cooked breakfast was prepared for us! Each member of this beautiful family shows their love to their guests in their unique kind way and thank you so much for this amazing experience of hospitality 🙏

He gave us many advices regarding sightseeing, restauratns and shops. Delicious breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view. Lot of space, calm and tranquil surrounding. We could vist the House again.

Το Luxe Wilderness - Private Villas, Free Breakfast, 2km from City Centre έχει θέα στην πόλη και προσφέρει μπαλκόνι και καφετιέρα. -there are 3 houses in colonial english style overlooking Mount Pedro, sunrise and Nuwara Eliya. - very nice interior design with all facilities - very clean; confortable bed - they even put beautiful natural flowers in a vase, and lots of printed info about the area, Budhism, tea plantation. - staff helpful and friendly, they even offered us a gift when we checked out. - breakfast was also good - such a nice garden with flowers and birds - because at night it may be cooler they offer heating device, which was actually great.

All facilities are top-notch, thoughtfully provided, and everything worked seamlessly. A special mention and heartfelt thanks to Taranga, the housekeeper, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable in every way. His attention to detail, hospitality, and genuine care made the experience exceptional — he truly elevated our time here. Overall, Croft Cottage is the perfect blend of charm, comfort, and luxury. Highly recommended, and we would absolutely love to return!
