We came here because we wanted to see sea turtles, and after reading bad reviews about the turtle reserve, planned to do it on our own. The house is minutes away from the beach and the hosts are very knowledgeable and give advice about how to see turtles ethically. They even rescue the babies from the village that have wandered in the wrong direction, and we were able to see two of them before they were released. Dinner was a huge and delicious meal of fresh fish and many sides for only 5 rial pp and then we enjoyed chatting with the hosts over tea. The rooms were nice and spacious, and breakfast was great too. Overall a wonderful stay!

He makes sure that everyone has what one needs. Tents are in a beautiful location, easy walk over the dunes to sea a sunset. Do not try to get there on your own just by maps, let him guide you through the dunes. Maps will take you close, but the most challenging route is still ahead. Both dinner and breakfast was great, with a great selection. Dinner maybe slightly more limiting for vegetarians. Fridays are generally very busy and slightly noisy, but you can see how locals are having fun during their weekend. The sunset camel ride was great and so was the morning discovery of the desert with Hamood. If there's more people in the camp, be patient and enjoy the surroundings until it's your turn to be taken care of. We stayed an extra night and we're happy we did. Saturday was much more quiet and one could really appreciate the solitude of the desert.

Remal Resort features accommodation in Bidiyah. Featuring a garden, the 5-star resort has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The resort has an indoor pool, terrace and barbecue, and guests can grab a bite to eat in the restaurant. We treated ourselves to 2 of the 3 incredibly large ‘chalets’ in the desert! We loved the privacy yet constant availability of support. The villas were massive- 2 large bedrooms in each and all with en-suites. Huge living area, own pool to each villa and views front and back of desert and camels! Definitely good value for money. Osawa (may have spelt it wrong) was an amazing host; he got us Omani coffee, a dozen pomegranates when we said we liked them! Then when we realised there was no restaurant/bar he sent for beer for us! He took us on an exhilarating quad bike adventure- definitely a must do and he took fab videos for us. We had a private dinner and dramatic dune bashing experience- also recommend.

Really beautiful villa right at the start of Wahiba Sands it’s magical to wake up to the dunes around you and then chill in your private pool. The host is super kind and friendly and organised us a good value private tour of the dunes taking our direct wishes/plans and tailoring the afternoon to us. He could not do enough for us and made it a super hospitable stay. The house has two good bathrooms, a lovely living area and a stunning terrace with the roof terrace having dune views. It’s also close to the town centre where there is anything you could need from good coffee to supermarkets. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended.

The host was outstanding, he answered every question I had and made fantastic recommendations for places to eat, he was so helpful. The property is 20 minutes drive from wadi shab which make it an excellent stopping point for this. Would highly recommend.

It' has a huge space for families with comfortable and relaxing place. Excellent escape from city life,serene and rejuvenating.
