Loads of history and charm and rusticness everywhere. Our accommodation, which was novel in itself ( low doors, sloped wooden beamed ceilngs & whitewashed stone walls) added so much character to this place. The housekeping couple who showed us in where so sweet and caring. It was raining cats & dogs and by the time we found the property we were soaked. They quickly got the wood fire going and showed up repeatedly at the door with more firewood and to check on us! Thankyou! There were tons of blankets for the beds and the kitchen had some hi end cooking equipment ( that could use instruction manuals) and loads of hot water. When the sun came out we went out onto the patio and enjoyed some wine as the sun was setting - fantastic views.
