The shops and restaurants at South Street Seaport are also within 5 minutes' walk. They offered free freshly cooked cookies some times in the reception which my kids like it so much In general the hotel is in a safe area. It is walking distance from most of the attractions in New York. Multiple food options in a walking distance.
