With a view of Gujo Hachiman castle from the upstairs window, this house and town are simply great. Quiet, comfortable, within walking distance of what you come here to see. The owner, Masahiro-San, will treat you like family, and his advice about what to see and where to eat is spot on. If you cannot carry your suitcase up the steps to the upper floor, you can bring the futons downstairs and sleep on the heated floor. We came here with another couple and we all loved this house and Gujo. Ask Masa-San to pick you up at the station, if he can he will! The great reviews are very deserving, if you like Japanese style living you will like Nomad Inn. The 6 am. temple bell will remind you every morning what another world it is here!

Bike hire and car hire are available at the holiday home and the area is popular for fishing and hiking. Skiing and cycling can be enjoyed nearby, while a ski equipment rental service, ski-to-door access and a ski pass sales point are also available on-site. They really made you feel as if you were a part of their family and took time out of their day to show me around the area and drive me to many different areas all while having really nice conversations.

Located within 35 km of Takayama Station and 38 km of Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village in Takayama, Yunohirakan features accommodation with seating area. This 3-star ryokan offers ski storage space and a lift. The ryokan provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi.

Guests at the ryokan will be able to enjoy activities in and around Takayama, like skiing. The village is in a beautiful spot and the ryokan felt very nice. The room was spacious and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both really tasty and big, with great beef that just melted in the mouth. The hot springs were also very good, and since there weren’t many people we could try all the private baths without any problem. I’d be happy to come back here again

Room is very large and Nice view. Staffs very helpful and nice. Dinner with Hida beef is very great.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. The property offers free WiFi access in rooms and in public areas including the shared TV lounge and the terrace. Very charming and aesthetic little hotel restaurant located in the woods just out of town. With nice little onsen - showers. Fantastic cuisine and wine (let the chef-owner pic for you). And extremely friendly and accommodating owner couple happy to pick you up / drop you off in town.

Offering traditional Japanese-style accommodation with spacious public baths, Yatsusankan Over 6 years old is a 6-minute walk from JR Hidafurukawa Train Station. WiFi is accessible at public areas for free, while the private-use hot spring bath is available at a surcharge. Very nice hotel with excelent staff

Kappa Bridge is 14 km from ひらゆの森別邸湯う香三蔵庵, while Mt.Norikura Ski Resort is 30 km away. Matsumoto Airport is 52 km from the property. Location, private onsen in the suite, kaiseki dinner is elegant and delicious, so is the delicious breakfast, both served in our room, it’s a great experience. The staffs are very warm and helpful. It gave free entrance ticket to the big public onsen which is a great extra benefit.

This recently renovated villa is located 2.3 km from Takayama Station and 50 km from Gero Station. The property is non-smoking and is located 2.8 km from Fuji Folk Museum.

Skiing is possible within the area and the villa offers ski storage space. The house decoration is modern, abundance facilities including heaters, pool table and lots of recreation stuffs. The kitchen and dinning table are big enough for a group of friends.
