The craftsmanship in the rooms, the locally made furniture, the atmosphere… it’s unlike anything I’ve seen, not just in the area, but anywhere in Europe and UAE. The quality is outstanding. Every corner of the place feels special, and it’s clear that a lot of heart went into building and running it. You can’t compare this to a standard hotel stay—this is an experience. If you choose the Viking experience for dinner, prepare to be surprised. The feeling, the food, the entire setting—it’s something else. The fish dish in particular was incredibly fresh and simply prepared in the best way possible. It lets the flavor speak for itself. The Viking house is truly one of a kind. How can anything compare to that? Olef clearly loves his place and his history. He doesn’t just run the hotel—he lives it. He is a genuine Viking, and it shows in every part of what he’s created here.

HyttaMi ligt in Stranda in de regio Møre og Romsdal, en heeft een balkon. Deze accommodatie heeft een terras en gratis privéparkeren. It was a wonderful, beautifully furnished and very cosy cottage. Its name, which means 'my cottage' in Norwegian, was absolutely fitting — you felt right at home here. It has all the necessary equipment, including a washing machine, barbecue, board games, maps and much more besides. Although it looks small from the outside, appearances can be deceiving — it's actually large with three bedrooms and plenty of extra space. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The owners was very nice and gave us tips on where to swim and go on trips.

Fjord time out – peaceful, welcoming, unforgettable. We spent two great weeks in a cozy, well-equipped apartment that was perfect for two. One of the absolute highlights was the view: from both the window and the private seating area in the garden, you can look out over the fjord and the mountains across the water. Simply breathtaking! Our host, who lives upstairs, was incredibly kind and helpful. He offered great tips and information about the area, was always available if needed but always discreet. A lovely personal touch: he flies the flag of each guest’s home country – such a kind and thoughtful gesture! There's also a small beach nearby (5-10 min by car) with a grassy area and picnic tables and an easy access for swimming in the fjord on warm days. We really felt welcome and had a very relaxing time at that place we’d gladly return to.

The house is located on a mountainside. From the windows there is a beautiful view of the valley surrounded by mountains. An excellent base for exploring the area. Special thanks to the host for excellent contact. I recommend this place to everyone.
