Super help from our server for supper. John our server not only made our evening feel very special but he also made some wonderful suggestions for the rest of our trip including somewhere to find some cheese that we enjoyed with our supper. We both found the cod main course splendid. Your staff made this short stay for us feeling relaxed and ready to continue our journey.

The sunny rooms of Casa Das Obras also have modern comforts such as a TV and central heating. The breakfast is amazing! The staff was very friendly and the area is amazing, the nature and also the people. The guide to the walking tours int he room is a great source of information. We also enjoyed the reading room and tghe snacks available. A perfect escape to reconnect with nature. Highly recommended!

The room was very comfortable, the food at the restaurant for supper and breakfast were very good and location of hotel, wonderful!

The location is ideal — just a short drive from the center of Manteigas, yet completely secluded in the forest, offering peace and quiet. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Ilda and Alberto are exceptional hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The breakfast they prepare each morning is delicious, and made with care. We also communicated with their son Pedro via WhatsApp, who gave us great tips and helped with our planning. Note: You’ll need a car to reach the property and to explore the area comfortably – it’s not suitable without one. If you're looking for the perfect base for hiking and exploring the Serra da Estrela — this is the place. Highly recommended! .

A beautifully decorated old house with a great ambience. Set in a quiet village only 10 minutes from the main town. Surrounded by forests, it was pleasant walking around the area. Secure parking inside the property. The breakfast was a table full of options for the two of us, all fresh and delicious. Pedro was a great host, very friendly and informative. Very reasonably priced, this was a great find for us and one of the better stays we had on our 22 day trip around Spain and Portugal.
