It is within an easy drive of Boka waterfall, the great Soca Gorge, and the town of Bovec. We walked just 10 minutes from our door to the trailhead for Svinjak Peak (the Matterhorn of Bovec). The trail climbs steeply through pastures, forest, and several ruined fortifications of the Austro-Hungarian defense line, and eventually reaches rewarding vistas of surrounding peaks and the valley below.
