Chef Emrah was especially helpful and spoke good English which made everything from ski hire to special requests much smoother. Staff went above and beyond to help, offering rides to/from the hotel to the ski lifts (which is usually just a 2 minute walk), took on suggestions for breakfast/dinner options, and accommodated late checkout. Staying at Balsoy was like staying at a second home, highly recommend.

We came from Canada to ski at Palandoken and decided to stay at this hotel based on positive reviews and fair price. It did not disappoint! We enjoyed a very comfortable stay during the 7 nights at Saka Life. Facilities are well maintained and clean. Staff is all very friendly and welcoming. Even with the language barrier, we were able to understand how kind these people are. Communicating via the translator app was always pleasant, and customer service was excellent. They were all so helpful. Even washing our laundry for a reasonable fee. A special mention for the woman who prepares breakfast each morning, we enjoyed all of our meals. The included breakfast was fresh and sufficient. Internet, room heating, and hot water all worked well. Location has many shops and restaurants in walking distance and the ski hill is only a short drive away. Also, the historical sites of Erzurum such as the castle and Çifte Minareli Medrese were very interesting. We recommend this hotel and would happily return ourselves.

OTEL ÇINAR is gunstig gelegen in het centrum van Erzurum, op 8 minuten lopen van Lala Mustafa Pasha-moskee. Awesome little guesthouse in the heart of Erzurum. The family running the place were lovely. My room on the third floor was spotless and really comfortable. It caught a nice breeze in the arvo and evening, and had a great view of the fort. I was able to park my motorbike in the safe alley outside the hotel, under the watchful eye of shopkeepers and CCTV. Location was perfect. Short stroll to the main sights, good restaurants and supermarkets. There's a big MMM Migros less than 10 minutes walk where you can buy beer. Free 24/7 tea/coffee/water and the WiFi was reliable and covered every floor (30mbps down/10mbps up). Will definitely be staying again when I come back through Erzurum. Thanks Kerim and family!
