When we arrived, there was some urgent construction underway to improve the units. While this caused a bit of disruption to our stay, we decided to check out a day early and informed the team. To our surprise, they took the initiative to contact Booking.com on our behalf and arranged a refund for the final night. On top of that, they offered us an additional $50 as a gesture of goodwill. They weren’t obligated to do any of this, and it truly reflects their commitment to excellent service. What could have been a disappointing experience was completely turned around by their responsiveness and care. The hosts were quick to respond to any queries, the location is fantastic, and the rooms are comfortable. At the end of the day, it all comes down to service—and in this regard, they truly excelled.

Skiing and cycling can be enjoyed nearby, while a ski equipment rental service and a ski pass sales point are also available on-site. I loved everything about the apartment and the little touches that our hosts made the effort to provide. I appreciate the instructions that got us safely to the address, the breakfast that was waiting in the fridge, the movie channels (!) and just how clean everything was!

Boasting barbecue facilities, the inn is close to several noted attractions, around 600 metres from Meadow Park and around 1.4 km from Pine Knot Ranger Station (Historical). In addition to free WiFi, the property also features a sun terrace as well as a hot tub. It was beautiful, peaceful, and very comfortable. The area is quiet, the bed was cozy, and the location is great — just a short walk to the main street. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking and felt spacious for two people. We also loved the jacuzzi and the small porch, perfect for breakfast or simply enjoying the view.

All rooms feature air-conditioning, free WiFi, and a work desk. This was a wonderful restful hotel with quiet rooms and comfortable beds.Beautiful cedar architecture - nice restaurant onsite - complimentary coffee in the lobby all day - and a great little bar area near the fireplace. Bring your swimming costume - there is an outdoor spa.

Guests at the accommodation will be able to enjoy activities in and around Dunsmuir, like hiking, skiing and fishing. Perfect hotel, renovated only recently. Amazingly well equipped and tastefully decorated room with its own kitchenette, fantastic bathroom with all sorts of toiletries, infinite selection of TV channels and streaming services, etc. Wonderful bed and bedding, super quiet... We had the small 'queen bed' room. In a nutshell - as a 4 star hotel should be. And very reasonable price for a establishment of this category.

Black Bear Lodge is situated in South Lake Tahoe, roughly 0.8 km from the lake and 1.6 km from The Gondola at Heavenly.

Big Springs Gondola is located in same building as The Residences at One Village Place by Hyatt Vacation Club, and Village Express chairlift is 30 metres away. The nearest airport is Reno-Tahoe International Airport, 38.6 km from The Residences at One Village Place by Hyatt Vacation Club. We stayed in the Three-Bedroom Villa, and it was easily the best hotel room I’ve ever seen. There are plenty of things to do around the property, and the swimming pool area is great too :). I’d definitely stay again 100%!
