All was good. Visting Weimar is highly recomended - but you need a transport.

Set directly on the grounds of a golf course, the hotel in Blankenhain offers a large spa with pools and free yoga and aerobic classes. A spacious restaurant with a large sun terrace also features.

The hotel is excellent - spotlessly clean rooms, friendly and professional staff, very well situated for the Frauenplatz, Goethe's house, Schiller's house etc. There is an underground car park with its own section for the hotel, separate from the section for the general public. A tip for anyone on a motorcycle. There is a sign at the car park entrance, unhelpfully situated too late to allow you to turn around, saying no bikes allowed. Being too late to turn around, I went through to the hotel section. You can get past the barrier even on a large bike (BMW R1250RT). I paid for parking, of course, but don't be put off by that sign.

This 4-star hotel in Gotha lies a few steps from the park and Friedenstein Castle. It offers spacious accommodation in a classic style and free use of the sauna area.

The place is great, located just next to the very interesting Weimar city . The room was a bit small, but for a short period of time is fine, clean and warm.

A fantastically equipped and furnished apartment, we felt at home there immediately. Bags of room and a lovely balcony looking out over green spaces. It's literally 3 minutes from the train station and the town itself is about a minute beyond that. A marvellous place to come and relax. No hesitation in recommending this great flat.
