Hotel Black Sheep (Loch Lochy) Whispering Pine Lodge at Spean Bridge We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Black Sheep, located right on the serene shores of Loch Lochy. The uninterrupted view of the loch was absolutely breathtaking, making for a peaceful and picturesque retreat. The hotel’s heating system was excellent, keeping us warm and comfortable throughout our stay. The food was another highlight—delicious meals, great pizza, and the complimentary high tea was an unexpected but delightful surprise! The location was ideal, with easy access to Loch Ness and Fort William, making it a perfect base for exploring the Highlands. We stayed in a spacious apartment lodge, which was exceptionally well-appointed. The rooms were large, the shower was great, and the bed was one of the best we've ever had—firm and supportive, unlike the overly soft springy mattresses we usually find in hotels. The furnishings were luxurious, with high-thread-count linens adding to the comfort. Overall, Hotel Black Sheep exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and indulgent Highland getaway!

Lovely spacious apartment. Great facilities

Our apartment was quirky, but absolutely perfect. Spacious, very well equipped, beautiful - we loved it. Highland Club is an extraordinary place to stay - the beautiful park with old trees and playground, direct access to Loch Ness, the pool in the former chapel - it's beyond gorgeous. Slots at the pool have to be pre-booked, which makes absolute sense - otherwise it would be too crowded. Everything seems well thought of.

We can definitely say it is one of our top vacation that we had. Without getting in details about the gorgeous surroundings and views, the rental location is divine. All what you except and more.The place itself is an amazing piece of history with lovely gardens and amenities.If you take a stroll through the gardens you can actually see Lock Ness. For anyone wondering, I don't have enough words to describe how amazing it is, 10 it's to low for a place like this. As a side note, the man that gave us the key and showed us the place was really thoughtful and welcoming.

The whole place is amazing ,Not talking about Fort Augustus. A monastery with lovely grounds where you can have a lovely break ( Holiday.) and lovely self catering rooms. " I have to give a Big congratulations on the staff's service,especially Mike the guy who was getting us to our room, we went to the wrong place and Mike came and found us and escorted to where we were staying ( Thank you Mike.)

The location was simply stunning - surrounded by greenery and sounds of the flowing river. The cottage itself was charming and cozy, with all the amenities one could ask for. The location was perfect for exploring the Scottish Highlands - there were plenty of scenic drives and picturesque places to visit. And when I wanted to relax and unwind, the cottage provided the perfect retreat. Overall, I highly recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We would love to come back someday!
