Discovering Matera is discovering human history and since the moment we stepped in Moyseion our historical journey became reality. The concept of Moyseion, unique in its genre, was an experience, starting with the welcome at check/in surrounded by mosaics, the perfumes of ancient essences and spices. We were enchanted by the storytelling of the in/house archeologist who explained us the decor and the meaning of each design piece in the bacheca collection. The room in a minimal design allowed us to fully feel in a time capsule, but with the comforts of the 21 century. The Pool experience is something unforgettable as the breakfast with music and performances while tasting a unique and well studied menu. We loved every second of our time in Moyseion and we want to thank the staff for their welcoming and attention.

Perfect hotel! In every aspects! Big and specious room, the design of the hotel is amazing. It was the best decision to choose this cave hotel in the city of caves. The hotel offers delicious breakfast with wide range of selection. Very helpful and friendly staff. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Matera again. From the hotel everything was within a few minutes walking distance.

The only downside of the trip was we didn’t stay longer. Matera is a magical place and we loved hearing about the history of the B&B and the Sassi from Giuseppe. He also provided a lot of useful information on eateries and places to visit. Tiziana also stayed in touch and made sure we had everything we needed. The accomodation was very clean and roomy and there was a lovely quiet courtyard as well. The location was really good, and although we had larger suitcases and there were steps to negotiate, we wouldn’t have changed anything

We loved the luxury feel of the hotel and it was an amazing base for a few days to explore Matera. The staff were exceptional, especially Dino and Mary. Breakfast was superb. The spa was stunning. The spa was amazing and very relaxing after a day walking around the Sassi. The rooms were really unique, spacious, and cool with comfortable beds. We had a very nice jacuzzi bath with coloured lighting and also in the shower. We stayed in the dependence suite but it wasn't onerous to walk the short distance for breakfast which was very nice too.
