The property and the view was spectacular - it was more like a village than a hotel - and the view… The breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast selection I have ever experienced and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The spa and gym were also amazing and of the highest specification. We did a wine tasting with Enrico who was the best guide - it was the perfect amount of knowledge and enjoyment!

Managed directly by the owner, Albergo Palazzo Squarcialupi is a 15th-century building in Castellina in Chianti. It offers a garden with outdoor swimming pool, and a spa.

A superb quiet location with amazing views from out apartment and the restaurant. The meals at the restaurant were lovely. daily menu and you just choose to take it or leave it. We ate there 3 days and each time the food was amazing, accompanied by gorgeous Chianti wine, I Recommend the Bichi Borghesi. This is family run and everyone was so warm, friendly and welcoming. They even tolerated my attempts at speaking Italian.

The room was absolutely wonderful, very spacious, open and clean. They left a couple nice touches for our arrival: a bottle of Prosecco and some balloons with writing “love”. The kitchen and bathroom were newly renovated, very comfortable and very clean. The jacuzzi inside the room was great and very relaxing - super easy to use. The room is part of Agriturismo Le Ville, which has a great outside pool and nice view of the countryside. It was super quiet and idillic. The windows had mosquito nets so we could keep them open at night. The parking was close by and comfortable to reach. Each room has an outside terrace to enjoy staying outside. The owner Natasha was very kind and gave us great tips for dinner and for some spots to sightsee and was always reachable for question via WhatsApp message. The agriturismo is very easy to reach with Google maps, 20 minutes by car from San Gimignano, 30 minutes from Volterra and 30-45 minutes from Siena. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.
