Food was absolutely delicious, staff members were super friendly! You immediately feel relaxed once in the hotel premises, great ambience. The hotel also offers a shuttle service which was very helpful. Love the architecture and design of the hotel. Wonderful!

great location and staff are all super helpful and friendly. Sato San at the Hotel East was extremely welcoming and helpful. he send us back to our cottage although he was very busy and he is very professional, always with a cheerful smile!

This hotel was like fairytale land, delightful and cosy. The buffet breakfast was a highlight (a must try if you stay here), and the private family bath was amazing too.

Always a home away from home when travelling to Japan! Welcoming staff, always a warm fire and never too much trouble to ask for a lift back to the station. Have stayed here multiple times now and we look forward to rest and relaxation with the onsens and time spent in the forests of Karuizawa.
