I travelled to Ella with my wife for holiday. We found Grand Rock View to be a small, tranquil place with a great character. Our room with balcony offered us the views of the whole valley where the city of Ella is located, including the Ella Rock and the waterfalls. It was a pleasure to just sit there and watch the world go by in the evenings. The place was quiet, as it is located away from any main roads. However, the centre of Ella can be reached from there by a 5-minute walk on the nearby railway tracks (which is how people normally get around there). The host was great, helped us to orient ourselves for our hikes to the nearby hills and was bent to fulfil any of our wishes. He also recommended to us several interesting dining options in Ella. The breakfast at the resort was very good and enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay at Rock Grand View very much.

It’s a lovely place, only five minutes walk from the main road but far enough so it’s pleasant and quiet, clean and spacious rooms with hot water and a big and tasty breakfast! But most important is Shirley who took care of everything I needed, had recommendations where to go and what to do with a big smile all the time he was absolutely amazing

The location outside of Ella main town within the forest was perfect, and within a short walking distance from the Nine Arch Bridge too. The rooms were large and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The standout was our host, Siva who is an amazing chef. The breakfasts are fantastic, which we're included in our rate, but there really is no need to venture out for dinner as his Sr Lankan curries are wonderful. We would stay there again in an instant. Thank you guys for a truly outstanding stay !

The Cozy forest Ella is a brand new place, very clean, modern, with all the facilities. The place is quiet, and the family is very nice and warm people. They received me with tea and biscuits and I had alsso the chance to test the best delicious Sri Lankan home made food. Don't miss this experience ! I received assistance to visit the touristic places in the city, from the first till the last minute. 100% recommended !!!

We loved the hospitality from Mohammed, he picked us from the station when it was pouring, he gave us very good tips for explore Ella and the breakfast was delicious. Very nice place to stay for a few nights or even one night. Very friendly hosts. Location in Ella on the mountain, our favorite, with a beautiful view. Very clean room and bathroom, the room is small but cozy, enough space for two people. Breakfast on the terrace and sitting out anytime lifts your spirits and allows you to enjoy the beautiful scenery around you. If you are without a bike/car, the hosts have a tuk tuk and will take you into town for a good price. The ratio of price/quality is above and beyond. We recommend it for accommodation, we will come back again if we get the chance.
