It was small only 12 units and all were virtually on the beach. It was very personal and the staff were so attentive and NOTHING was too much to ask. The air con was perfect and the fan was sufficient most of the time. The rooms were able to be closed so even when the power went off (not the resorts fault) the rooms were kept very cool. The food especially the pizzas was excellent and the Italian flavour was great. They also organised tours for us which was great as it took hassle out of it. Also transport to and from airport so we were spoilt

It was my first visit to Zanzibar, the choice of the hotel was based on customer reviews, and it exceeded my expectations from the time I was greeted at the airport until I arrived at the hotel and welcomed me, the room was clean, large and beautiful, the cleaning service was excellent, the variety of breakfasts and it was close to the beach walking

Our stay at Michamvi sunset bay was absolutely fabulous. The whole team tried their very best to make the stay unforgettable and to feel at home. In the resort we enjoyed a very nice and calm atmosphere, with the best beach you can find in Sansibar. Every night the dinner was an absolutely romantic highlight - we even had dinner at the beach one day with a campfire and a beautiful sunset. If you are looking for a place far away from the main tourism to relax and enjoy the silence, this is the right place to be! We would always come back to Michamvi sunset bay any time!

From the moment we arrived, Maite made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She even recommended local attractions and made sure we had all the information we needed to make the most of our stay. Maite's attention to detail truly made our stay exceptional.     Great calm and relaxed vibe. My husband and I both loved how clean and well appointed the rooms were. Every detail was intentional. It felt like a lovely boutique resort . The staff were extremely welcoming , the pool pristine and we were very happy with the quality of our dinner that we sent a special thank you to the chef. The complimentary Breakfast provided lots of options from eggs to pancakes and was tasty and good portion. Positives all around . Overall it felt like our own private villa.

    Had a wonderful nights stay at this brand new hotel. The room was spacious, well decorated and very clean with air-con and a fan to help with the Zanzibarian heat. Breakfast was included in the price which was great; I had pancakes which were delicious. Staff were attentive and really friendly. Overall a very nice place to stay and I’d happily go again.

    Lovely, fun staff. Kind owner. Fabulous food. Relaxing coastal location. There is a great swimming pool with comfy sun beds overlooking the beach. The rooms were well designed, spacious, and comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious and authentic Italian food. There is even a pool table and bar. We will definitely return!
