Spa Hotels in Durban

An iconic hotel that deserves its plaudits. Room (classic seaview) a little on the small side if one wanted to quibble but there begins and ends any faintly negative aspects. The place oozes olde worlde charm with impeccable service at every level. Great bar with terrific cocktails and the Grill Room restaurant is fantastic value for money. Breakfast is seriously above average too. We will be back.

Beautiful apartment, feels like home the minute you step in👍. The apartment is very modern, clean and the lady who comes in to service the apartment, beautiful smile and friendly, very helpful with stuff we didn't know💯 Highly recommend this beautiful apartment. We liked the safety aspect, at the gate. Not to forget DAVID who greeted us with such a warm smile in the parking and offered his help. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF ON SITE

The ocean view from my balcony... WOW

The view if the ocean from our room was beautiful and the staff where so very friendly and helpful.

Great location beach front, casino, movie house all at one place. The rooms were clean and cosy.

Staff : From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful. They went over-and-above to serve and please. Swimming Pool : The big pool was heated ! It made such a huge difference to my experience. Took a dip early in the morning and it was just lovely to walk into a warm pool. The pool boys were very attentive and helped with umbrellas, sunbeds, supply of free water bottles etc. Breakfast : This was exceptional. A very big variety to choose from. You can also order from a menu. It was the same breakfast & layout each morning, but we never got tired of it ! The staff were also very quick to bring the best coffees and warm toast....plus there is champagne at breakfast each morning. This was a feast ! Room : All rooms have a sea-view, also overlooking the pool and the sea. The coffee machine (with pods) & cookies in the room was of very good quality and replenished twice a day. The turn-down-service in the evenings were also a nice feature and we received a different chocolate and fresh water bottles each evening. The towels in the bathroom were extra thick ! SPA : The Mangwanani Spa is small, but there are 2 gazebo's next to the swimming pool area where we had a couples massage. Security : We felt very safe. There is a security guard at the steps leading down from the swimming pool grass area down to the Umglanga Promenade. People walk & jog on this 2.5 km route from early morning. The Parkrun also starts next to the hotel (at the Whalebone Pier)....which was so convenient. We could also park our rental car behind booms inside the hotel parking area. Other : There is a meet-and-greet every weekday evening between 5pm and 6pm...and again this is such a nice extra to drink a glass of wine before dinner.
