They spoke really good English, made me a little map with recommended areas to visit and restaurants to try - and even carried my bags to my room and offered me tea when I checked out. The room itself is lovely and comfortable. The little tea nook with the tea set is also lovely to start your morning. It's walking distance to all the essential sights in Guilin and right on the lake for tranquil walks in the day or evening.

Positioned along Taohua River, Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel boasts a Chinese-style courtyard and is located in Lujia Village, just 2 km from downtown Guilin. Surrounded by mountains and waters, the property offers quiet accommodation and peaceful ambience where you may easily relax. Staff was extremely attentive. The place was clean and charming with nice views to nearby mountains. We were able to use electric scooters from hotel. The village had several restaurants, a couple street food vendors and a couple small shops. Nearby hiking trail over the mountain was also a nice one.

We really enjoyed our trip to Guilin because of her.
