Nacula Island
Oarsmans Bay Lodge offers accommodation in Nacula Island an adult-only resort, for 18 years and above.
All rooms include a seating area to relax in after a busy day and all feature views of the sea. The rooms have a private bathroom.
The location is paradise on Earth, with a beautiful bay full of light blue and turquoise colors, white sand, a clean sea, palm trees, like in the posters we put on the wall, where we want to go. The bay in front of the resort is good for swimming without corals and rocks, and you don't need water shoes. Corals are very close by, so you can go diving and snorkeling as well. I stayed in a hostel, because I wanted to stay longer and not pay too much for accommodation. The dorm is actually a very spacious room, divided by small walls into 'bedrooms'. You have enough space for luggage and a wonderful view of the bay each morning. It is clean and well-ventilated. The resort is aesthetically decorated in a natural manner, and there is always nice, not too loud Fijian music in the background. You can see in the garden very interesting sculptures made from coconut shells and wood. Gardeners are real artists. There are some activities, like swimming in caves, learning about local medicine plants, weaving palm tree baskets, and a visit to a local village. There is a small concert with a cava ceremony on Sundays. All activities are done by staff from the resort. Those are multi-talented people with a great hospitality attitude. Food is good and healthy. They have a cute doggie, Rosie, and a friendly cat, Chrissy. The main management staff give them food to eat and cleans them of parasites. They also have goats right behind the resort, and you can go to see them, too. Everyone is nice and approachable. Even though this is a tourism resort, and of course, money is important, in the Oarsman, somehow, you feel they take care of the well-being of guests, and you feel a personal connection with the staff. You see them, they see you, so you have some feelings about authentic Fijian people, and that they have good care about you. As a solo female traveler in a foreign land and a distant island, I felt safe.

You can dine on the restaurant’s main verandah under the stars by candlelight, or at a beautifully set table on your own private terrace. The resort can cater to specific dietary requirements. Meal packages are also available, if preferred. The staff here felt like a group of friends. Getting to know them and speaking to them was the best part of our trip. They all helped me do a proposal that me and my fiance will cherish for the rest of our lives and went out of their way to tailor our experience of these islands to something really beautiful. They looked after us and made sure we were always comfortable and happy, which must be a lot of effort. We'd love to go back, and we can't say thank you enough to each one of them for how friendly and caring they were towards us. Even the wild dogs felt like friends, one of the most beautiful and enjoyable experiences of our whole life. Too many names to say individually, from the office to the massage therapist, activities, waiters, and office, everyone contributed to our unforgettable experience. Thank you for everything! Totoka! - Benji and Reyna

Nanuya Balavu Island
Mantaray Resort Fiji offers a choice of private and dormitory accommodation in the stunning Yasawa Island group. Guests can enjoy a range of leisure activities including diving, kayaking and snorkelling. First, there are a variety of room types for all budgets. We stayed in a beach villa, which was great. We absolutely loved the outdoor bathroom and shower. But everyone that we met enjoyed their room. Second, there is a mandatory meal plan. The resort did a great job providing a daily menu, then preparing the meals to order. The food was top notch. Third, the activities list is huge, with something for everyone. DO THE MANTARAY SNORKEL! Unbelievable! The kava tasting was also fantastic. Thanks for a great vacation stay!

Octopus resort is situated on a beautiful beach with fabulous snorkelling right off the beach. It’s possible to swim at both low and high tide and there is also a lovely swimming pool. The gardens are beautifully maintained. Everybody who works there are so friendly and helpful. It has a really welcoming family atmosphere. The food is absolutely exceptional. There’s a great range of activities, and a spa that offers a great range of massages and treatments to make your holiday the perfect relax.
OBS: this review is about a room different from the one we booked. There was a problem in the room and we were moved to one of the new bures being built, facing the beach. If you can, try one of the rooms by the beach; the ones in the garden are dated and in need of renovations. The resort is in a gorgeous location, great are for snorkelling and diving. The area around the bar/restaurant is beautiful, with great view and plenty of space to relax.
The SPA was amazing ! One of the best massage I ever had !
Remote quiet location accessible only by the Yasawa Flyer ferry, towards the end of its 4 hour route each way. The ferry itself was a tremendous experience calling at a number of islands and used by Fijians as well as tourists. The huts were spacious and the beds comfortable. The food in the meal plan was very good, including the gluten free option for my wife. The activities and excursions were very good and informative. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. The adult only accommodation also resulted in a relaxing stay.
The staff was amazing, kind and sweet. We got the best massage at the spa by Maria
The staff's kindness stood out for me, people are amazing, kind and helpful so massive thanks to them. I loved the food too, beautiful place to watch sunset and just have the best time basically. 100%recommend. The lady in spa was amazing tooo, can't thank her enough for giving me the best massage.
The staff were lovely and the lagoon was stunning. The food was a 5 course dinner every night and breakfast you could pick from the menu. Food plan is expensive but the food is good. The cave trip was so good, highly recommend. Happy hour cocktails were also lovely and great to meet other guests. The dorm had aircon which was great but the beds were so close together. Highly recommend the massage too! Very hard pressure but so good. Loved the conservation tactics they were implementing for the coral and reef.
The resort is just beautiful! We stayed in the garden villas and loved it. Super clean, spacious and cozy. My favourite part was the outdoor shower. The staff was amazing, super lovely and helpful. We had incredible food at Donu Restaurant (we went there for lunch&dinner). Breakfast was really good as well, with a la carte & buffet choices. There are three pools and the beach was Devine, lots of sun lounges available and paradise views. We would have loved to extend our stay!
We had a beachfront Bure, it was beautifully presented and so clean. 5 steps to the beach. The food was great, fresh And healthy. I had a massage at the spa it was amazing! Definitely worth it. The staff were amazing and the snorkeling was unexpectedly good!
