Adjacent to the hotel is The Spa at Bedford Lodge Hotel which offers a serene environment in which to relax and unwind. Awesome breakfast and breakfast area. Staff very friendly and accommodating. It's in a very good location and close to all the horse training which is definitely worth getting up early to watch in the morning before or after breakfast. Situated in Ipswich, Retreat East features 5-star accommodation with private terraces. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. Guests also enjoy access to the sauna and hot tub, as well as the spa facilities and wellness packages. It was a beautiful place- the rooms were perfectly designed for cozy comfort and I could have moved in. The dining experiences were great too- the food was wonderful and the service was perfect.

The spacious en suite rooms and suites all include a work desk and chairs, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, bathrobes, hairdryer, a Nespresso coffee machine with free tea/coffee, complimentary toiletries, free WiFi throughout and free on-site parking. The spa was exceptional and exclusive, the feel on the entire hotel was lovely. Highly recommend staying here and we will return for more stays.

Great heritage property in a lovely quaint medieval town. The staff were wonderful and friendly, they helped us carry our bags up to the room, and the free breakfast was outstanding.
