In the evening, we had a bonfire where we sat together and got to know each other. The location is perfect for visiting the Taj Mahal just a 10-minute walk away. I even walked to Agra Fort from there.

Situated on its own ghat, BrijRama Palace – A Heritage Hotel was built in the 18th Century and is considered as one of the oldest structures in Varanasi. Overlooking the Ganges, the property is a stone’s throw away from the popular Dasashwamedh Ghat. It offers 2 dining options and a rooftop terrace. Complimentary boat check in/check out is provided (except monsoons). Everything was perfect! They spoiled us with gifts and goodies. I was traveling with my mom (in her 70s), the hotel staff was super helpful and offered all assistance. Though a hard core non vegetarian I loved the vegetarian fare that the hotel had to offer!

One can spend valuable time with family. We visited with old parents and got full support from staff to make it convenient and comfortable. Closeness to Delhi also makes it convenient to visit without much planning and time.

Mr Harish, his son and his entire staff, especially Mr tiwaldi - rock star- made us feel welcomed, protected, comfortable, and very very well fed. The food alone is worth staying here- the Punjabi curry blew my mind- I will dream about it forever. We booked one night at a fancy ghat hotel- the food was better at Mr Harish’s homestay. The best reason for the stay is that Mr Harish goes above and beyond for his guests. We had a late night arrival- he sent his driver, Mr tiwaldi, who actually came to fetch us by our train car. He also spoke to our next hotel and made the transfer so much smoother- and called the tuk tuk for us and made the best deal for us- it was the best service. I was quite pleased and appreciative for all he did for us. Another reason for staying here- he sells beautiful fabrics, shawls, for very good price- and it is right on his property. If I were to return, I would stay here again.

Extras include bed linen and ironing facilities. It was beautifull, it was clean, it was near places you want to see, staff was amazing and the food at the restaurant was great. Heena at the travel desk Prantash(waiter with moustache) and the guy at the front desk(wearing glasses) were all amazing at their job. I am very happy I stayed here and will be staying again when I return soon. 12/10
