Right in the heart and yet very peaceful. The room was quite big and had all the amenities. The unique old-style swimming pool is the best we have seen in a hotel. Breakfast was great, unique, and filling. All the complimentary experiences were designed with a lot of thought and detail.

The breakfasts were excellent, with a wide selection of fresh and delicious dishes that always set us up for the day ahead. The city itself is absolutely enchanting. Strolling through its picturesque streets, visiting local cafés and restaurants was an unforgettable experience for us. We’ve never seen anything more beautiful in Italy, and this stay allowed us to fully enjoy the true atmosphere and charm of the place. The whole atmosphere of being in a cave made our stay memorable. The room is big, very comfortable, super clean, modern and well equipped. Beds and shower were great. The view is superb! It is well located. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Tatiana and Samir did everything to make us feel home. The breakfast has great variety and all super fresh food!

Located in Lavello, 20 km from Castle of Melfi, Moma Hotel Wellness & Spa provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a bar. This 3-star hotel offers luggage storage space. The hotel also features free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The AC was cold and the WiFi fast. We were able to park our car in a lot in front of the hotel or in the underground garage. Best of all, the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend!

We travelled to Puglia and Basilicata in October, 2025. Overall a great trip (we also went to Bari and Lecce), but Matera was the highlight stop for us. And the highlight in Matera, besides the stunning city itself, was our accommodation and host. Alina was beyond wonderful. So helpful in all ways. Breakfast, restaurant suggestions, arranging help with our luggage, and pretty much everything else. The room was beautiful, with a shower to die for. The panoramic roof top was also a spectacular vantage point to see this beautiful city. We cannot recommend this property highly enough.
