When choosing a place for a great holiday, aside from the mandatory “clean/quiet/organized/unpretentious/hot-water-does-not-run-out”, we have a checklist that helps: 1) small and family run, 2) has a garden and an uncrowded pool, 3) close to the sea, but away from the main street, 4) walking distance to the nearest town, 5) good food inside or close-by. This place checks all the boxes!!! If you are anything like us, you will enjoy it greatly. When we booked, there were not many reviews - and this boutique hotel bested our expectations. The owners Paola and Dario make you feel at home, as does the main waiter in the restaurant, Pino. Most recommended! The location: you are in a garden just above the sea, 100 m walk from a little beach, away from the main road. It is also a 10-15 min seaside walk to the cozy Forio - or 3 min walk to the bus stop that takes you to anywhere on the island. (Note that if you are coming from Napoli, you can take the ferry directly to Forio. Dario was very kind - he picked us up at the ferry. You really do not need a car in Ischia.) The hotel looks better in reality than in the photos. There are two pools: one regular large pool, one thermal hot water. The pool area is separated from the hotel by a garden and the dining terrace, so you do not hear the pool sounds in the rooms. The room was renovated and clean. Airconditioning is quiet and works well. The restaurant: The breakfast and lunch is served on the garden terrrace, the dinner is in a downstairs hall. We had two lunches and a dinner during our stay, all of which were really delicious and ample. For us, the food bested all other restaurants in Ischia.

The hotel and spa were wonderful. The place had just opened (early May) and was not crowded. Breakfasts on the patio overlooking the sea were prepared to order and very good. We swam and paddle boarded from the small dock. The staff were super helpful. Dinners (not included) were large and delicious. The hotel arranged a private boat tour around Ischia that left and returned to the hotel. We stopped for snorkeling and lunch at our pace - this was the highlight of our 2 week trip to Southern Italy.

My 7 year old son and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at Hotel Casa Giuseppina and hopefully come back someday again! We were greeted with a warm welcome of refreshing beverages after a long travel day. The room was very comfortable with daily housekeeping and fresh towels. The Hotel has a very cute garden with different flowers and plants growing around. The pool was amazing, my son spent long hours of swimming and loved it very much. One of my personal favorites about our stay at Casa Giuseppina was a curated three meal dinner daily, from fresh ingredients of the day: one day seafood theme, then italian meats, pastas and traditional ischia rabbit dinner. Food so delicious and fantastic! Five stars⭐️ compliments to Casa Giuseppina family Michele and his wife and Peppe!! No need to go and search for dinner places elsewhere! top notch! The chefs were also very accomodating to my picky 7 year old, offering alternatives🫶 Breakfasr was also very amazing, with tons of most delicious fresh fruits, yogurt, cornettos, cereals, fresh juice, scrambled eggs and best freshly made cappucinos and more! Everyone was so friendly and accomodating. I am so happy and grateful that I found this place on booking.com. Great location. Right next to a bus stop, beautiful beaches around such as Cavagrado, Maronti and Poseidon and Forio.

From the moment we arrived, it felt less like a rental and more like staying at a beloved relative’s home — thanks entirely to Carlo Basile, the most gracious and attentive host we’ve ever encountered. Carlo went above and beyond in every possible way. He even crossed over from Naples just to welcome us personally, give us a full tour of the villa, and make sure we felt completely at ease. He was available 24/7 for any question or need — from local recommendations to small requests — always kind, responsive, and warm. It’s rare to find that level of care and dedication anywhere. Very unique! The villa itself is immaculate: spotlessly clean, beautifully designed with high-quality furnishings, and fully equipped to cook like at home. The mattresses are brand new and incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning is powerful and covers the entire property — a true blessing in summer! The view? Stratospheric — sweeping, serene, and unforgettable. The silence and peace around the house made it the perfect oasis to unwind. The pool is the cleanest we’ve ever seen, and the lush garden is maintained daily, looking pristine every day of our stay. A special shout-out to Assunta, the housekeeper, who is a true gem! She visited daily to clean and maintain the villa, and change all towels and all sheets every 3 days!!! something we’ve never experienced at any other holiday home before. Her kindness and professionalism added a special touch to our stay. ❤️ We were a group of 10 people, and every single one of us agreed: this is the best villa we’ve ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. The combination of the location, comfort, service, and above all, Carlo’s outstanding hospitality, made this a home away from home in every sense. Το Hotel La Gondola προσφέρει καταλύματα 3 αστέρων μπροστά στη θάλασσα στην Ίσκια. Έχει εξωτερική πισίνα, ιδιωτική παραλία και κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge. The beachfront location and views from your room and restaurant were excellent. We loved the food and ate their for most meals - breakfast and dinner were good, plus we really enjoyed the 'pub lunch'. We don't speak Italian, so communication wasn't always easy, however we embraced it and got by with the very happy and accommodating staff.

Semiramis Hotel De Charme & Pools offers a 8000 m² palm-lined garden with a thermal pool that comes with beautiful views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. We had a sea view room with a very nice view, perfect also for watching sunset from our terrace with a cocktail from the bar. Staff is very friendly and always there to help when it comes to getting around on the island, renting a boat, etc. The combination of the beach 100m nearby and the four thermal pools of the hotel make it a perfect fit for a relaxing stay.

Immaculate and tidy, well-maintained hotel with 2 swimming pools, and a sauna. The rooms have either nice sea or mountain views. Very kind staff, nice breakfast with so tasty croissants. The location is perfect, easy to come from the Porta Di Ischia. The sandy beach is just 3 minutes walk. Nice restaurants like Ottomano, Mirage etc are just 3-4 minutes walking distance. The bus stop is in a 2-minute walking distance. TV has English and French channels as well apart from many Italian channels.

Amazing place! It's even nicer than in the pictures! The staff is very friendly, the view is impressive and the pool is very nice! They even offer free shuttle bus rides to other places! The breakfast is taaasty! Have I said something about the view?!

Botania Relais & Spa - The Leading Hotels of the World is 500 metres outside Lacco Ameno, near Ischia’s San Montano Bay and the Negombo thermal spa, easily reached by a footpath. Everything was absolutely perfect!
