The staff are super courteous and give you a real sense of Japanese culture. Our room was large and had a lovely view onto the river. Free coffee and soft drinks, and an onsen was included (we didn't even need to use the shower in our room). Really great value for the service we received!

This is a true Japanese experience. The hotel is an authentic, traditional spa resort, with old fashioned vibes, where you have to take off your shoes at the entrance of the hotel. Here you can enjoy the company of Japanese people, experience kindness and friendliness of the staff, have excellent food, and soak in the great atmosphere and surroundings of beautiful mountains. I loved the onsen with it's great variety of indoor and outdoor baths. Everything was easy and comfortable, there were free toiletries, water, snacks and fresh yukata everyday. Our room was spacious and very clean. No noise outside was a bonus. The receptionist and restaurant staff were so lovely, welcoming and attentive. Thank you for making our holiday in Shikoku so enjoyable ❤️

We went biking and stopped for the night here,about half way. Good location,directly next to the biking path,few biking minutes to the next store. Nicely modernised old house with charm,not too many room so it was a nice atmosphere amongst the guests. Our room was very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped and there was a free washing machine and dryer.Staff speak little English but are very well prepared (written explanation cards) and super friendly! Thanks a lot!

This place is very special. Beautifully renovated traditional home with all the modern amenities you need after a day of riding. Almost perfectly halfway between Imabari and Onomichi, it is just a short detour off the main route in a small rural village. We stayed only one night and organised with the host for breakfast at nearby WAKKA Cafe and to have a sashimi platter available when we arrived. This stay really added to our authentic rural Japan experience while doing the Shimanami Kaido, we just loved it!

Kana-san at the front desk was super helpful: she spoke great english, provided recommendations for local eats/sights, and helped with Japanese-speaking-only ryokan bookings. thank you!
