We stayed for access to other parts of the region while enjoying the out of the way location. While it caters for golfers using its golf course we didn't go for the golfing facilities and enjoyed the excellent food, nice public bath, generous apartment style rooms and the ambience of being in the hills and country-side of Awaraonsen. It is good value for the facilities enjoyed.

A 3-minute walk from Fukui Castle Ruins-daimyomachi Station, APA Hotel Fukui-Katamachi features rooms with wired internet access and a flat-screen TV. Guests can relax and soak in the public baths, which includes a hot-spring bath. Free WiFi is available in all area. Its a little small for two people but still cozy. You are able to use the washing machine and dryer at the onsen floor (forgot which floor), quite convenient.
