This place was so lovely - definitely the nicest on our travels through Sri Lanka. We loved how spacious the rooms were, and spending some time around the pool was an added perk on a hot day! Would stay here again.

Very helpful host. We are 2 friends from Spain and UK and enjoyed our stay in the homestay. Host picked us up at bus stop and took us around the area. Lovely dinner and breakfast at the terrace by the room, facing the lush garden. Large room and very clean.

The owner and his wife were really welcoming and made us feel like at home. The room was cozy with the balcony, hot water and A/C. Breakfast and dinner that his wife cooked for us were delicious. He arranged all day trips for us and even took us by himself with his tuk tuk. Would definitely recommend.

Dinu and her parents were so sweet and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and they went above and beyond to help us. We checked out at 5 am, but they had breakfast takeaway ready for us.

“Woodland Sanctuary is a paradise! The wooden room was beautifully crafted, with a cozy ambiance that felt luxurious. The bathroom, made with natural rock, was a unique and calming space. We stayed at Sun Shade Resort & it was one of the memorable Hotel stay in our life. It was a well maintained property which includes all facilities for us. Lovely wooden villas, great breakfast with really nice variety. Children loved the pool. Hot showers. The hotel were very easy to contact and adapt plans following the cyclone. They worked really hard to make our stay enjoyable.
