The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and immaculately maintained, blending comfort with understated luxury. Dining at Ahu Bay was a highlight of the entire experience. The seafood, in particular, was outstanding — fresh, carefully prepared, and always cooked to perfection. The menu offers a thoughtful mix of local flavours and international favourites, each dish presented with genuine care and creativity. Every meal felt memorable. What truly sets Ahu Bay apart, however, is the quality of its staff. From the front desk to the restaurant and beyond, every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay feel special. Their professionalism and hospitality elevated the experience far beyond expectation. A heartfelt thank you to Abhishek for his exceptional hospitality and to the entire team for ensuring that our time at Ahu Bay was so memorable. We had a great stay! The rooms are spacious, elegant, and clean, with everything just right. The balcony was a good size and perfectly equipped, making it a great spot to relax. We had requested rooms next to each other, and the hotel team kindly arranged it. The location is truly special, one side of the hotel offers a stunning lake view, and you can walk all the way through the property to reach the beautiful beach on the other side. The pools are lovely, and the pool bar is cool. The team there is friendly, attentive, and they even remembered our previous orders, which made us feel genuinely welcomed. The buffet for both breakfast and dinner were excellent, offering a wide variety of tasty dishes with something for everyone. The setting, overlooking the lake, made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The selection covers most cuisines, so there's always something new and delicious to try. Overall, this hotel stands out for its thoughtful service, beautiful setting, and exceptional amenities. We would gladly return and highly recommend it!

Very nice stay! We had a very warm welcome. Everything was great, nice surprise for our honeymoon, decoration in the room was amazing. The dinner excellent, very fresh and tasty food. Nelson was very helpful, he arranged transportation for us. The staff really kind and polite.

The room was enormous, with all modern comforts, a very spacious bathroom, and a king-size bed that made our nights perfect. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious, and every detail showed how much care was put into making our stay special. We loved the complimentary boat ride to the stunning, endless beach – such a unique and beautiful experience. The boat safari on the river and through the mangroves, guided by Shen, was a real highlight and gave us lasting memories. Most of all, the hospitality of our hosts, Nuwan and his lovely wife, together with their attentive and friendly team, made us feel truly at home. Their warmth and kindness turned our stay into something exceptional. We highly recommend Amber House to anyone visiting Bentota – we cannot wait to come back!

I felt like I am at home. the owners were welcoming, and I felt that they really wanted me to have a good time. The beach is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and there are a few nice restaurants around. The beach is beautiful and calm. Semila arranged a very nice trip around Sri lanka for me with a driver that accompanied me. It was really good.
