The grounds at La Perla were beautiful, lots a luscious tropical plants and the pool was a nice cool off. Very comfortable.

Lovely atmosphere by the river, excellent food (you can get lunch and dinner and order from a menu). Staff takes you to the other side of the river to a beautiful beach anytime you want. The rooms have a stunning river view, are clean and shower with good pressure and hot water. You can book tours and water sport equipment. We felt very welcome and would definitely go there again.

An Asian, vegetarian or vegan breakfast is available at the property. One of the best hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. The Bungalow is directly at the beach (10 meters, so it is really part of the beach). You can hear the ocean while falling asleep. The breakfast was great and the staff is always nice, esp. Barbara who is owning the place. Drinking water is for free at the bar. They have 2 Beachvolleyball courts and offer Yoga for a fair price. We could have stayed there forever :)

First place we stayed with a bathtub too. Lots of hidden areas to explore.
