The location is very good. It takes about 7 minutes walking to the beach. The staff is very friendly. We booked a room with breakfast and ordered dinner separately. The meal was tasty. The room was amazing. Staff provided us with an excursion to Pigeon Island -- it was very nice.

It's a fantastic place to stay the rooms were very clean. The location is right next to the beach, restaurants all around. The owner ( Thines)is a really good guy who was extremely helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and a spa and wellness centre, Amaranthe Bay Resort & Spa is located just 5 km north of the Trincomalee town on the beautiful East Coast of Sri Lanka. It’s tranquility, it’s luxury, it’s staff, don’t have enough words for how much we loved this place but it was heaven. The view from our room was stunning, coconut forest with abundance of wildlife and eagles soaring above. The room itself was excellent. The food in the restaurant was class and I can’t thank the staff enough they all made our stay memorable.

Everything ! The place is very well designed and well equipped, the staff is very caring and nice and the food is amazing. You’ll find everything you need in a single place.

Really beautiful location right on the beach. The new owner Shankar is doing a great job of continuously improving the property. You see positive changes everyday. The manager Riz was a huge reason our stay was so wonderful. He helped with everything from our booking, to arranging our food, to getting embellishments to our room as needed. Very much recommend this as a great place to stay in the area. The Sri Lankan food in the restaurant was also fantastic- probably the best in the area.

We received a warm welcome and the room was very clean and good beds. What a terrific hosts, so friendly and they also booked two trips for us (pigeon island and dolphin spotting). The breakfast was also great, homemade and very tasteful. If you go to Nilaveli this is the place to go! Also close to the beach. Very good stay for the price you are paying.

I had such a wonderful stay here. I originally planned to stay for 3 nights but ended up extending for another night — and I will definitely stay here again when I return to Trincomalee. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and even with just the fan on, it felt cold and refreshing. The water pressure was strong, which I really appreciated after long days out. I was also super satisfied with the lighting — the room was really bright, which I loved, especially compared to other places I’ve stayed at. The location is fantastic — just a 2-minute walk to the beach, which is the perfect spot to chill, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. On top of that, I had the best massage at the spa upstairs! What truly made my stay memorable was the amazing staff. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, always making sure I was comfortable. They often offered me free tea, and I even got a free dinner on my last night! Sura, the owner, was super friendly — I never felt alone because he would always take the time to chat and share great recommendations. I especially loved the sunset spot he told me about! I can’t wait to come back, not just to visit Trincomalee again, but because of the wonderful experience I had here. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at the High Park Hotel. The staff was nice, kind, always attentive to our needs and helpful in organizing activities and transportation to the train station. The beach was just a few steps from our room.

Nilaveli Beach Resort is set on the bronzed sands of Nilaveli Beach. This tranquil resort welcomes guests with a private beach area, cosy guestrooms and free internet access at all public areas. Top hotel at a wonderful beach, very nice wooden cottages, friendly staff and reliable service e.g. the airport transfer. On the way from Colombo to Nilaveli and Trincomalee You are passing jungle and national parks, having wild elephants on the road, an exciting experience also, even though it is a car ride by around 5 hours. Warmly recommended!
