Las Qolqas EcoResort Ollantaytambo is gelegen in Ollantaytambo, op 21 km van Bus Station, en biedt accommodatie met gratis fietsen, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een terras. The photos and descriptions don’t do this place justice. Located in a quiet valley half an hour’s walk (or a short drive) from Ollantaytambo the Las Qolqas Eco Resort by far exceeded our expectations. The friendly and helpful staff helped us with all our questions and requests, alongside the manager and the owner of the hotel. They also recommended a Machu Picchu guide for us (Porfirio - charming and very knowledgeable) and helped us with transportation to and from the train station to get to Machu Picchu (included in our room rate). The food on site is excellent, as are the drinks. There are fireplaces in each cabin which they’ll light for you at your request. You can admire hummingbirds from the comfy chairs on your veranda while you can hear the birds chirp and the sounds of the nearby river. We also did a lovely 2hr hike (each way) on an Inka Trail to the nearby Pumamarca Ruins which was amazing and we didn’t see any other tourists the whole way - a great way you get away from the masses. Las Qolqas was easily our favourite place we stayed at in Peru.

Window view, terrace, meals in the restaurant, rooms, variety of birds- all was very great.

Pisac Inn biedt accommodatie in Pisac. Het heeft een eigen à-la-carterestaurant. Er is gratis WiFi beschikbaar. Het belangrijkste plein van Pisac ligt op 3 minuten lopen. The location is superb. Right on the main square close to a ton of great cafes, restaurants and shops. The rooms are small but super cute and beautifully decorated. The staff are lovely and very helpful. I was only planning to stay a couple of nights but I extended because I liked Pisac and the Pisac Inn so much.

Tambo del Inka, a luxury establishment located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, is the only hotel in Urubamba that has a private train station with connections to Machu Picchu. This was our second time to go to this hotel. I like so much the rooms, the huge common spaces and the wellness. The coffee machine in the room is a real extra. We traveld to Machu Picchu with the train (from the hotel’s train station) - it’s very comfy.

I loved the view of the mountains, the environment was amazing, and the owners are an amazing family that makes us feel soo incredibly comfortable like they were there for us all the time and that was so nice. The tree house is really good and have some pillows and games. Also the place has two hammocks, which I consider was the best place to relax and the jacuzzi is incredibly amazing, if you do it at night you have the chance to see the stars and it's simply the best. For sure, the best place to stay and you will have the best memories. The breakfast was sooo tasty!

La Rosa Wellness Lodge ligt in Urubamba, op 7,2 km van Bus Station, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. De accommodatie is net opgeknapt en ziet er erg mooi uit. Kamers zijn groot, schoon en voelen luxe aan, mooie tuin, lekker eten op locatie. Ook de betrokkenheid van Peggy vonden we super. Een warm persoon, dacht graag met ons mee, zocht het contact op en gaf ons een warm welkom. Ze vertelde ons over haar missie om samen te werken met lokale mensen/bedrijfjes; iets wat we wel konden waarderen! Ze regelde een taxi voor ons, waarmee we de omgeving konden verkennen en tipte ons de Colibri tuin die erg goed beviel. Kortom; echt een aanrader!
