There really isn’t anything not to like. It was a magical restful time and exactly what we needed after a crazy year.

We went for my husband’s birthday and they made it so special without me even asking. All staff were informed and went the extra mile. Her personal touch truly made a difference, especially when she kindly lent me her own binoculars for our safari activities. This thoughtful gesture enhanced our experience tremendously. We also appreciated the convenience of the breakfast baskets, which allowed us to enjoy delicious meals even with our early starts. The Bohemian decor of the lodge added a unique charm to our stay, making it both cozy and visually appealing. The romantic dinner our host arranged was a highlight of our trip. The beautiful decoration and intimate setting created a memorable evening for us. To top it all off, the lodge's unique location allowed us to experience wildlife up close, as we had the amazing opportunity to encounter a duiker and even a giraffe right at the lodge! Additionally, the lodge's location is very close to Hoedspruit airport and many reserves, making it an ideal place to stay. On the last day of our stay, we had a luxurious breakfast at the lodge, adding a touch of elegance to our experience. Overall, the value for money at African Flair is exceptional. The attentive service and the host's dedication to planning everything for us made our stay truly special. Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Maroelani! If it were possible to rate higher than 10, we definitely would! The staf was super friendly and thoughtfull. We had the best game drives with our guide Gert, who was very professional and told a lot of interesting facts about the nature and the animals in the reserve. We were surprised with a picknick by sunset for our anniversary, they made our favourite food, prepared a hot tub for us, … everything was absolutely perfect! We were actually sad we had to leave this place.
