Everything. Its beautiful. The staff are next level fabulous and so caring helpful and attentive. Friendly but also professional. Papa Tom is so awesome. Reception and check in were also so lovely. We ate in the jalapeño restaurant for dinner and the food and service was amazing. The food at the restaurant is some of the yummiest food ever. The wahu fish in coconut cream and salsa was delicious beautifully cooked tender, fragrant and satisfying. I absolutely love it here and i would feel myself very fortunate to have the opportunity to stay here again. The setting by the ocean is stunning and the gardens and rooms beautifully appointed. Ive never stayed here before and we had only our last night in rarotonga here but its been a dream come true. I can’t believe ive never stayed here before. Feel really special and cared for. Thank you to your amazing team. At the end of the day it is the staff that make the experience for anyone staying here really amazing. Thank you. I feel very grateful to have been fortunate to stay at club raro. Stunning as the wild ginger and frangipanis that scent the entire complex. Gorgeous

The grounds were beautiful, the pool was lovely, and it was right on the beach. The facilities were clean, the air conditioning worked well (which was much appreciated), the shower was great, and the food at Shipwreck was delicious

Best part of the beach, right on the water, big room, big comfy bed, paddle board, kayak, snorkeling. Didn’t even need to leave the hotel. We were able to get a microwave to our room which helped a lot to make lunch in our room. The little hotel restaurant right on the water is beautiful, can see whales in the distance. Restaurant food delicious and affordable. Happy hour cocktails delicious and look amazing. Conveniently located

We loved our stay at JJ'sRetreat! Jason & Jaime are wonderful hosts. They were so friendly and easy going and shared a lot of knowledge about the island. They have a wonderful slice of paradise in Rarotonga at JJ's Retreat. The self-contained villa had everything we needed for our 10 day stay. It was very clean and tidy, the kitchen was well equipped with cooking equipment and basic cooking ingredients such as oil, salt and pepper, and a great BBQ so we could cook our own meals. Tea/coffee/milk for the first day was provided, as was basic toiletries, but we brought most of what we needed with us from NZ or bought from the local supermarket/take away, Wigmore's, which is a short easy 10 min cycle down the road. Water in the villa is filtered for drinking. The gardens around the property are beautiful and well kept, along with the swimming pool which we enjoyed everyday! We were so lucky to be the only couple there so we had the whole place to ourselves. The property is set back from the main ring road (5 min walk) so it is very quiet and peaceful. The Raro bus will pick you up/drop you off at the main road and so it is very easy to get around without a car. JJ's is located close by to the best snorkelling on the island - Fruits of Raro to the east and Aroa to the west. The bikes provided allowed us to cycle to Aroa beach to enjoy snorkelling at our own pace. We also cycled to Wigmore's Waterfall for a swim and picnic. After adventuring every day it was wonderful to come back to our villa and enjoy our evening on the deck. The use of the washing machine was great too, and there was a phone to call local numbers to make reservations. The bed was so comfortable and the villa was kept cool by its design and the wonderful big fan above our bed! They were happy to arrange a late check out for our late flight. Jason & Jaime have thought of all the little details that make a holiday extra special.

The apartment had a lot of space, fresh towels and Nev was an amazing host. Watched some old dvd-s which was fun. The best thing was that it was just 200m from the lagoon beach!

Tashi was a great host, you didn't know she was around unless you needed anything. The location was perfect. 24 hour fuel, food, liquor right across the street. The bungalow right on the beach, the deck was perfect for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. I'll be back.

This is our second stay at Muri Retreat. The new owners, Simon and Denise, certainly know what they're doing! Muri Retreat is as special and charming as ever, but with very much appreciated upgrades: a super ceiling fan that cools better than AC, renovated kitchen, more lighting and lots of plugs for charging phones. Denise brings clean sheets and towels every 4 days. We were in Kukupa suite with a great view of the reef and a wraparound verandah for dining, gazing at the ocean and hanging wet towels and swimsuits. The property has lush vegetation and a private idyllic pool. There is a washing machine onsite. Simon offers paid WIFI, so you don't have to go buy it at the convenience store - very handy! The pool area offers covered seating and a fridge and bbq for pool side dining. The location is very handy to Muri Beach downtown area and Fruits of Rarotonga snorkelling. We recommend getting a car in Rarotonga to easily explore the island and all it has to offer. We wish we lived closer to Rarotonga than Canada, so we could visit Muri Retreat every year! Simon and Denise really care about the quality of their guests' vacations and were readily accessible during our two week stay.
