There were several problems we encountered - no hot water, electricity outage, tv not working but in each case the response was exceptional. The plumber worked on the solar water heater and the heat was restored - the generator switched over to backup shortly after the power failed - and the Chinese TV - TCL - caused a few people concern until the manager came down and promptly got everything back on track. Vinada vakalevu!

It’s right next to the beach. The restaurant is lovely, in front of the beach and often there have some events. The food in the restaurant is good. You can’t end up without a friends, unfortunately because the rooms are kind of small, and there don’t have really any private space even in your bed.

What you see is what you get & vice versa. For me, my stay was highlighted by the grace, care & help from all the Staff that I received. I had arrived after sustaining a nasty rib injury, barely left the hotel over 3 days of recuperation & they fell over themselves to take care of me. It gets 10 stars from me for honesty, what you see is what you get. Total value for money, cheap as chips & very comfortable, ideal for quick stops. Real travellers would get the quirks, hot water was a problem in a funny understable way for example. If you have a winge about the Fancy, stay at the Hilton next time. 😉

    The Palms is an excellent choice for people on a budget. The rooms are generous and have all the facilities you need, especially if you are looking for somewhere to do some of your own cooking and laundry. Beds are comfortable. Very convenient location to walk to Port Denarau.
