We came as a family of which part were going to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. We were welcomed and given keys to our four rooms immediately. Two in the old part of the hotel and two in the modern block at the back. The rooms were full of character, charm,clean, quite spacious and had everything needed. We ate dinner one evening and the food was excellent. Special mention to the Bar Manager who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. He kept checking on us and arranged the lounge area so we could all sit together and chat. Always cheerful and attentive.

We really enjoyed the staying, the pub and restaurant decoration is cosy and in the Christmas mood. Large room with comfortable bed. Easy to get to Winchester from the location.

Beautiful location that had real character. Lovely big rooms and very quiet . Also would like to mention the young lady who worked on reception who was very polite and attentive
