We had a wonderful stay at Flower Hill Cottage. The room exceeded our expectations, with a super comfortable bed, a fantastic bathroom featuring a double shower and rainwater head, and excellent water pressure. There were even many options for lighting the room from led strips, spotlights and lamps. There was plenty of storage for clothes and toiletries, and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the beach from our balcony, though the heat kept us from spending too much time out there. The air conditioning was much appreciated. Our host, Abhilash, ensured we had a hearty breakfast and everything we needed. The staff on the grounds were also very friendly and accomodating. The newly renovated cottage is located a little further from the shops and restaurants, making it wonderfully quiet, yet a short 10-minute walk along the coastline takes you to many cafes, restaurants, and gift shops. We had a great stay and wished we could have stayed longer—next time! :)

Wave a Lokam is Amazing, Writing this review feels essential because this stay was genuinely special. From the moment I arrived, I found a safe, welcoming space that felt like home, thanks to the hosts’ warmth and genuine care. I stayed for two days and could feel the love they pour into every detail. They even have two adopted pets who traveled from Mumbai, and they are the sweetest, most well-behaved companions. You hardly notice they’re there – just calm, quiet, and adorable. The authentic kerala food is top-notch prepared at the stay by wonderful women team, with such care that every meal felt nourishing and comforting - Sabby thank you for preparing Maharashtra dish for us:) If you’re looking for a peaceful, uncrowded place to unwind, this is the one. Every room is beautifully designed, with handpicked pieces that show the hosts’ dedication and taste. It’s heartwarming to witness these women putting so much of themselves into creating this stay, with every corner filled with love. I couldn’t be more grateful for this stay. My heart is full after this experience thank you Sabby and Amardeep:) – highly recommend!

Really nice location - very close to the beach and all restaurants, shops but at the same time on a quiet street. Staff very friendly and kind. The hotel owner is very hospitable and thoughtful.

Vishram Village is an amazing peaceful sanctuary situated right next to a big lake. You are completely immersed in nature and can spend all day outside relaxing by the lake, kayaking, doing yoga in the outdoors yoga hall or drinking tea on the porch. Our villa was huge and with a great bedroom and really comfortable bed and AC. The staff was super helpful and friendly -- excellent service. The hotel manager and owner made sure we were always looked after, organized rides to the town, helped us out with anything we needed. It felt like our home for the days we spent there. We had a great stay and will definitely return next time we are in Varkala.

Wuhuuu. This hostel is magical..wonderful....just amazing. Perfect location..in the middle of varkala beach..50m away from beach. The most of the people..the staff there is soooo friendly and nice (laura you know what i mean :-) Every evening another program..like family dinner...jamming session or movie night. There's also a fantastiv incredible yoga spot on the rooftoop..with daily sessions in the morning an evening. I really love this place..i extended my stay 4 times. Soooo..i think thats all :-)
